WRC Belgium: Chris Ingram wins Junior WRC2 in Ypres, matching career-best result

Chris Ingram & co-driver Craig Drew win the WRC2 Junior category at the WRC Ypres Rally Belgium, finishing 9th overall in the process amongst the best rally drivers in the World in their Toksport Fabia Rally2.

After winning the opening stage in WRC2 overall ahead of Citroen Official drivers Stephane Lefebvre and Yohan Rossel, Ingram was caught out on the following stages on slick tyres in the wet conditions. The British crew were controversially placed 12 cars behind the WRC2 championship leader Andreas Mikkelsen on the start list, who managed to finish a number of stages before the rain poured.

Despite losing 1 minute on Day 1, Ingram & Drew only finished a further 17 seconds behind the overall WRC2 win. Chris Ingram matches his best ever overall WRC finish of 9th, shooting him up the standings of the World Rally Championship and back into the lead of the Junior Championship.

Chris Ingram would like to thank the Toksport Team, Craig Drew, new engineer Gerard Zyzik, the supporters who made the trip to Belgium, and his partners and investors for their fantastic support.
